Weeks Between Dates Calculator

Need the number of weeks between two dates, not just days? Enter a start and end date and this calculator gives you the exact number of full weeks, with the leftover days shown separately.

Common ranges

Example

From January 1, 2026 to April 5, 2026 is 13 weeks and 3 days (94 days total).

Why weeks and days, not a decimal

The result shows full weeks plus the leftover days, rather than a decimal like "13.4 weeks." A week is always exactly seven days, so this is exact, not rounded. If you need the raw day count as well, it is shown in the grid below the result alongside the calendar breakdown in years, months and days.

Elapsed or inclusive

By default the count is elapsed: the start date is not counted, only the days that have passed since it. Tick the inclusive box to count both endpoints instead, which is what most booking, rental and event-length questions actually mean. A five-day festival from Monday to Friday is 5 inclusive days but only 4 elapsed days between them.

Common uses

  • Pregnancy and medical scheduling. Gestational age and treatment follow-ups are tracked in weeks.
  • Project and sprint planning. Measuring how many sprint cycles fit between two milestones.
  • Notice periods. Employment and tenancy notice is frequently written in weeks.
  • Training plans. Race and fitness programmes count backward from an event date in weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Exactly 13 weeks and 3 days, since 94 divided by 7 is 13 remainder 3. The calculator shows both the week count and the leftover days.
No. It shows the exact number of full weeks and the exact number of leftover days, never a rounded or decimal figure.
Elapsed counting excludes the start date and is the default. Inclusive counting counts both the start and end date, which is usually what booking and rental-length questions mean.
