Using the site

The calculators are free to use for personal and commercial purposes. You do not need permission to use a result in your own work, and there is no attribution requirement.

Accuracy

The tools are built carefully and the conventions they follow are documented on the About page. Even so, they are provided for general information and without warranty. Date arithmetic interacts with local law, contractual definitions and institutional rules in ways a general calculator cannot know about.

Before relying on a result for anything consequential, including legal deadlines, medical scheduling, employment periods or financial settlement, confirm it against the rules that apply to your situation. Many of those rules define day counting in their own specific terms, such as whether the first day counts or how public holidays are treated.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, or use it to break the law. Automated bulk requests are not necessary in any case, since the calculations run client side and can be reproduced locally.

Availability

The site is offered as is. It may be unavailable during maintenance or because of problems upstream, and tools may be changed, renamed or withdrawn.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, results produced by these calculators. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The text, design and code of this site belong to its operator. You are welcome to quote or link to it. Republishing pages wholesale is not permitted.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
